Abstract submission guidelines
Abstracts for poster / oral presentation are welcomed for the RA-UK & ISURA Joint Scientific Meeting poster competition. The submitted work should be related to the science and clinical practice of regional anaesthesia or pain.

Abstract submission opens - Thursday 27th Jan 2022 00.00
Abstract submission closes - Sunday 3rd April 2022 23.59
Abstract review - 4th April 2022 to Sunday 10th April 2022
Confirmation of abstract acceptance - Tuesday 12th April 2022
All abstracts will be judged by an expert panel, using a standardised scoring system.
Successful candidates will be notified by email on 12th April 2022. Please note that it will not be possible to offer individual feedback on abstracts that are not accepted.
Minimum one author from each abstract is expected to register for the conference.
All accepted authors have the option to display printed poster at the conference. Preferred printing method and supplier will be explained on acceptance of Abstract. A service will be available to have posters printed and mounted on site to avoid the need for transport.
All accepted abstracts will be published on the conference website.
The top 3 abstracts will be published in the British Journal Of Anaesthesia!
The top 3 abstracts Authors are all invited to present orally at the conference.
1st place: ESRA Congress registration fee and additional costs up to £500 + 1 year RAUK membership.
2nd place: RAUK Annual Meeting registration fee and additional costs up to £250 + 1 year RAUK membership.
3rd place: £250 + 1 year RAUK membership

The Abstract submission system will be open from the 27th of January. Please return to this page to submit your abstract.
Enter a title for your abstract in less than 20 words.
The abstract submission system will allow a 250-word abstract excluding title, author details and references.
The text of the abstract should contain the following headings; introduction, methods, results and discussion. Case reports should follow introduction, case or cases, discussion.
A statement must be included indicating ethical approval where applicable.
Use a blank line to separate paragraphs.
References should be in Vancouver style.

Choose a category that best represents your abstract.
Indicate whether your abstract is related to Regional Anaesthesia or Chronic Pain.
Up to two figures and/or tables may also be included.
Disclose any financial support or conflict of interest where applicable.
