Jonny is a Consultant in Intensive care medicine and Anaesthesia in Northampton, UK. He is the founder of www.criticalcarenorthampton.com and is a firm supporter of FOAMed and Social Media in Medicine. He is the editor-in-chief of the Oxford Specialist Handbook of Thoracic Anaesthesia. The transition from his passion for regional anaesthesia into POCUS was inevitable! His interests lie within point of care ultrasound and in particular, the use of handheld devices in the assessment of the critically ill patient.
He is a course director for Advanced Trauma Life support and NICE IV fluid lead for his trust, promoting safe fluid prescription and education on fluid physiology. He is a member of the FUSIC committee at the Royal College of Anaesthetists, a member of iFAD Faculty enjoying speaking / teaching on all that is ultrasound!
