Dr Turbitt is a Consultant Anaesthetist in Belfast with an interest in Regional Anaesthesia. He completed a Regional Anaesthesia Fellowship in Toronto and the MSc in Regional Anaesthesia. He is the Treasurer of RA-U.K, and is a founding member of the ASRA Specialist Interest Group for Education in Regional Anaesthesia. He has been an invited lecturer at several national and international conferences and is widely published in the field of regional anaesthesia. Current interests include the future direction of regional anaesthesia as a subspecialty, pragmatic approaches to widespread education in basic nerve blocks and the impact of regional anaesthesia on value of perioperative care.
