Dr. Maria Paz Sebastian is a Consultant in Anaesthetics and Acute Pain at the Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital (RNOH) in UK.

Since 2018, she has served as the Regional Anaesthesia Lead at the Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital (RNOH) in the UK, where she established a comprehensive regional anaesthesia fellowship and trainees’ program that has been recognized for excellence in training and education.

She brings a strong history of leadership and service development, demonstrated through her role on the board of the UK Regional Anaesthesia Society (RAUK), where she currently serves as Honorary Secretary and was previously led as the Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion Lead.

She is dedicated to advancing regional anaesthesia education and patient care. Her especial areas of interest are the inclusion of regional anaesthesia techniques in major orthopaedic surgery and ERAS pathways, acute pain management, peripheral nerve injury and equity, diversity and inclusion in regional anaesthesia. She has launched successful educational initiatives and has collaborated and lectured in different meetings, webinars, workshops, and courses both nationally and internationally.
