Abstract submission guidelines
Abstracts for poster / oral presentation are welcomed for the annual RA-UK poster competition. The submitted work should be related to the science or clinical practice of regional anaesthesia or perioperative ultrasound.
Abstract submission deadline 23:59 on the 24th March 2023.

All abstracts will be judged by an expert panel, using a standardized scoring system.
Successful candidates will be notified by email on 8thApril 2023. Please note that it will not be possible to offer individual feedback on abstracts that are not accepted.
The highest scoring abstract will be invited to give an oral presentation at the ASM.
A minimum of one author from each abstract is expected to register for the conference.

All accepted authors have the option to display printed poster at the conference. Preferred printing method and supplier will be explained on acceptance of Abstract.

Authors of posters will be required to register and attend the event in person. Those who are unable to attend in person will have their poster on the app and website only.
All accepted abstracts will be published on the conference app & website.
Trainee Prizes
The top 3 abstracts will also be published in the British Journal Of Anaesthesia!
The top 3 abstracts Authors are all invited to present orally at the conference.
1st place: ESRA Congress registration fee and additional costs up to £500 + 1 year RAUK membership.
2nd place: RAUK Annual Meeting registration fee and additional costs up to £250 + 1 year RAUK membership.
3rd place: £250 + 1 year RAUK membership​

Abstracts will be submitted through our online submission system.

Submission Guidelines
Enter a title for your abstract in less than 20 words.

Indicate if the abstract is to be considered for the paediatric regional anaesthesia prize.
The abstract submission system will allow a 250-word abstract excluding title, author details and references.
The text of the abstract should contain the following headings; introduction, methods, results and discussion. Case reports should follow introduction, case or cases, discussion.
A statement must be included indicating ethical approval where applicable.
Use a blank line to separate paragraphs.
References should be in Vancouver style.
