Dr. Maria Paz Sebastian is a Consultant in anaesthetics and acute pain at the Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital (RNOH) in UK where she is the Regional Anaesthesia Lead.

Maria was elected council member of RAUK in 2020 and currently she is the Honorary Secretary.

​

She is extremely passionate about teaching ultrasound and regional anaesthesia. Maria leads the RNOH USGRA course and the regional anaesthesia program. She lectures nationally and internationally and has been awarded in different educational international contests.

Her especial areas of interest are the inclusion of regional anaesthesia techniques in major orthopaedic surgery and ERAS pathways, acute pain management, peripheral nerve injury and equity, diversity and inclusion in regional anaesthesia.
