Nat is a consultant anaesthetist at South Tyneside and Sunderland Foundation Trust and is President Elect of RA-UK.

He is clinical lead for regional anaesthesia at STSFT, introduced one of the first block rooms in the UK and regularly hosts visits from interested national and international teams.
​
He is co-lead for the University of East Anglia MSc in Regional Anaesthesia, is an invited speaker for both the Royal College of Anaesthetists and the Association of Anaesthetists and is a regular international speaker.
​
As a member of the RCoA working party, he led on the development of the Prep, Stop, Block national safety initiative and also co-authored the recent RA-UK nerve injury guidelines.
