Dr Chris Yap
Consultant in Emergency Medicine with an interest in point of care ultrasound.
MBChB, FRCEM, Dip Medical Ultrasound
Originally from the sunny island of Singapore, Chris now lives in the outdoor city, Sheffield, just next to the Peak District.
He works as a Consultant in Emergency Medicine at the Northern General Hospital which is the regional Major Trauma Centre for South Yorkshire.
He has a strong interest in point of care ultrasound (POCUS) and loves teaching people that shades of grey are not all bad. He has splitboarded in the Alps and the Arctic Circle and is still waiting for the day when a snowboarding company will spot his talent. For some reason, that has yet to happen. He also loves a bike ride in either road or mountain form. He is still waiting for the perfect handheld ultrasound machine to replace his stethoscope to arrive on his doorstep.
